Feeling : Frustrated |
While I sit here waiting for my iPod to sync, figured I might as well ramble on about something... Why its taking my iPod so long to sync I have no clue, other than the obvious...Vista is shit! It's taken me the best part of an hour to copy a couple of hundred meg of mp3 files up to my server. Why that is I have no clue. I just hope they sort it out with Vista SP1, although I have seen conflicting reports. Some say its fixed, others say it not. The overall verdict on SP1, vista still sucks, it just sucks a bit less. Whilst on the subject of sucking, gotta wonder what the guy who thought this was a good idea was sucking on....other than the obvious crack pipe! The guy must've been high on something! Like the guy that wrote the story said, the best firewall in the world is 6" of fresh air. Just think twice the next time you get on a Boeing...

Feeling : Reflective |
So it's been a while since I wrote anything here, quite a long time in fact. There are a couple of reasons for this, one of which is the fact I've got another infinitely pointless blog on another site. Those of you that know me well enough will have found it already. If you haven't, then you probably don't care anyway. The other reson is the fact that I've been rather busy! Since I last wrote anything here, I've been in and out of a couple of relationship, totalled my car and switched jobs! Not sure which was more stressfull. The good news is that I'm still here and in one piece. My car is also back and in one piece, although its now in need of a new set of tyres since the body shop deemed it acceptible to put a bloody odd tyre on it. Hopefully it will cure the slight pull it has when it gets over 100mph. I also finally managed to escape from DSG after 13 and a half years. I've been in my new job for just over 4 months and so far its better than I would've believed. The one big shock was having to work again. I didn't realise how lazy I'd gotten in my old job. Took me a few weeks to get used to having to work 8 or more hours a day! Which means once I get home I'm busy doing the things I would've been doing at work. So why am I feeling reflective you may ask....well, that comes down to the one aspect of my life that seems to be going pear shaped...women! But I guess that's par for the course. Never really had that much luck in that department anway. Most of the women I've been involved with have turned out to be unbalanced in one way or another. Some just can't deal with the hours I work, others seem to want to change me in one way or another and some have just turned out to be paranoid basket cases that think I'm sleeping with every woman I ever speak to. I guess because things are going wrong at the moment is causing me to think about the couple of good relationships I had that I screwed up. They've been on my mind a lot lately. Not very often I have regrets, but there are a couple of things in my life I do regret. Maybe I'm just getting old...or maybe I just need a drink! |
