Still suffering from a lack of motivation as you probably guessed. Doesn't show any signs of changing much either. Most of it is due to my work situation, but some of it is personal as well.

Yesterday turned out to be a pretty depressing day, first I settled down to watch the FA Cup final pretty convinced I was going to see Manchester United lift it for a record twelfth time. Sadly is wasn't to be as time after time they failed to put the ball in the back of the net. Eventually, after extra time it came down to a penalty shoot out and United got ambushed as Arsenal won 5-4. Paul Scholes had the only penalty saved which turned out to be the difference between the two sides and Arsenal were handed the cup.

Hoping for something to cheer me up, I decided to watch the Cubs play the White Sox in the second of a three game inter-league set at Wrigley Field. Clinging to a one run lead going in to the 8th, Zambrano got pulled and replaced with Wuertz and from there on out the game got messy. Once again the cubs bullpen melted down and handed out 5 runs and the offense once again failed to produce enough support and another good performance by Z was wasted as the cubs got beat 5-3. So much for being cheered up.

Here's hoping that the cubs can at least save some face and win on out of three tonight. I'm not sure if I'm going to watch yet. Then again, given that I'm a glutton for punishment (why else am I still a cubs fan) I probably will. Will put the cap on a perfectly miserable weekend. Could be worse I suppose, I could have to go to work tomorrow....oh wait....
