Wow, I didn't realise it had been so long since I put anything on here! That probably has something to do with me not being around much lately, and when I have been around I've been too busy to do much personal stuff anyways.

So, what have I been up to?

Well, been doing some clustering upgrades on NCS 1.6 including adding SLP and DHCP services to the cluster and preparing to add 2 more nodes. Also been trying to get my head around Groupwise 6.5 in preparation for a trial at one of the major sites...not an easy proposition as Groupwise is a huge product...first time I've actually had to read a user guide and an administrator guide to uderstand a piece of software!

On a personal front, I'm trying to migrate my websites from this server (apache 1.3) over to a new Apache 2 server. Not as easy as it sounds. It would seem a lot of things have changed as far as the configuration goes, about the easiest thing so far has been to migrate the MySQL data. I have a feeling it might take a while to get my head around the new modules included with version 2 in order to migrate smoothly with all functionality in tact...so if this site disappears for a while....you know why :)

On the up side, the quitting smoking is still going ahead successfully! 55 days now since I last lit up and I feel good for it! Although the feeling good part might have something to do with the exercise I've been doing. Quitting does have its drawbacks, weight-gain for one. Despite not changing my eating habits, I still noticed a change. At least it gave me the kick up the arse I need to to something about the extra pounds I was already carrying around with me. My target weight is 175lbs, I'll let you know how it goes!
